01 Our next chapter

What do you want to do with the year ahead?

You and I have already worked together, and we've spoken about what you'd like next: deeper friendships with men who share your outlook on life, who want to keep growing and who are willing to support and challenge each other.

What this year can make room for

This group brings those relationships together with time to act on what matters to you: an ambition you keep returning to, a decision you've been putting off or an experience you want to make room for. Four to six men, based in the UK, committing to a year of honest conversations, time spent together and following through on what we say we want.

Living boldly will mean something different to each of us. It might mean changing direction at work, being more honest in your relationship, making time for an adventure or finally acting on an idea you keep returning to. Over this year, we'll help each other get clearer about what we want and take the steps that matter.

You've already said yes to the idea. This page sets out what we're embarking on together.

02 Friendship with depth

Men you can get to know properly.

You can have good friends and still miss having men you can speak openly with about the things that matter most. Your relationship, your ambitions, fatherhood, sex, money, ageing, or a decision you've been quietly putting off because you haven't quite trusted yourself to make it.

There's something valuable about being around men who have done enough work on themselves to listen without rushing to fix you, and who care enough to question you when they hear you talking yourself out of something important.

The friendships we’re building

That's the kind of company we're creating here. Men who take responsibility for their lives, remain curious about themselves and each other, and understand that there is always more to learn.

Over a year, we'll have time to move beyond introductions and familiar stories. We'll get to know what matters to each man, what he's working toward and where he could use some encouragement—or a more honest conversation.

01Staying connected

Twice a month · Zoom · 90 minutes

Space for what matters.

We'll meet twice a month on Zoom for 90 minutes, giving us regular time to reconnect, talk about what's happening in our lives and bring forward whatever deserves attention.

Inside our conversations

I'll guide those conversations and bring coaching where it helps. Some calls may focus on a challenge one man is facing; others may open up a conversation that matters to all of us. What you're actually living through will help shape our time together.

There'll be space to think more clearly about what you want, explore something you're finding difficult and follow through on decisions that matter to you. As we get to know each other, we'll also be able to notice patterns, ask better questions and return to things that might otherwise get forgotten in a busy life.

02Getting out together

Once a quarter · In person · UK

Experiences worth sharing.

Once each quarter, we'll put an adventure in the calendar and meet in person in the UK. We'll choose something fun or challenging, with opportunities to try something unfamiliar, then enjoy good food and time to relax. There'll be room for coaching, and just as much room for the conversations that emerge naturally when we spend an unhurried day together.

What time together makes possible

You get to know a man differently when you're trying something unfamiliar, sharing a meal or laughing about what happened earlier that day. Those experiences give the relationships more depth and give us something to look forward to throughout the year.

Make room for a little adventure.

Across the year, that means 24 group Zoom calls of 90 minutes each and four gatherings in person.

Dates to be confirmed. Our start date, regular call schedule and quarterly gathering dates are still to be confirmed. We'll agree the activities and locations together.

04 The conversations ahead

What we'll explore together.

Each of us will arrive with different priorities, and those priorities will change over the year. What have you been putting off? What do you want to experience? Where would you like to trust yourself more? We'll make room for what's happening now and help each other turn those answers into choices and action.

01

Relationships and intimacy

We'll talk openly about being husbands, partners, fathers and friends, including the conversations we avoid, the boundaries we need and the kind of connection we want. What would you say or do if you trusted yourself to handle the response? There'll be space to explore desire, affection and sex with men who are willing to be honest about their own experiences.

02

Purpose, work and money

You may be considering a change of direction, growing a business or wondering how much of your life you want to give to work. We'll explore what success means to you now, what your responsibilities require and where you want to put your time and energy. We'll also ask what step you can take this year toward the work or life you keep imagining.

03

Health, energy and getting older

How you look after yourself affects how you experience everything else. We'll talk about the habits you want to build, the things you've been neglecting and how you want to approach the years ahead—with enough energy and confidence to enjoy them. What would looking after yourself properly allow you to do?

04

Confidence and trusting yourself

Even after considerable personal growth, you can still find yourself holding back, seeking approval or postponing a decision. We'll use those moments to understand what's happening and support you in taking action you respect, even when the outcome is uncertain. You can bring a decision to the group, hear other perspectives and choose your next step.

05

Friendship, adventure and enjoyment

We'll give proper attention to what makes life enjoyable: good company, new experiences, interests you've let slide and things you've wanted to try. What have you wanted to try, and who would you enjoy doing it with? Our quarterly gatherings will be part of putting that into practice, with each of us helping shape what we do together.

You won't need a problem to have something worth bringing. A bold idea, an uncomfortable question or something you're proud of can be just as valuable to the group. Over the year, we'll keep coming back to what matters to each man and how he wants to live it.

05 What we bring to the group

The quality of our year starts with each of us.

We're committing to one year at a time. At the end, we'll reflect on what we've created and decide together whether we want to continue.

Make the time.

The quality of this group will come from how each of us participates. We'll make the time, arrive willing to be honest and take an interest in each other's lives. We'll respect confidentiality and be open to hearing something we might not have seen for ourselves.

Bring your real life.

You can bring an unresolved problem without needing to dress it up as progress. You can also bring an ambition, a success or something you're excited about. There's room here for difficulty, enjoyment and the ordinary business of being a man with a full life.

Support and challenge.

Supporting each other will sometimes mean listening carefully and giving a man space to find his own answer. At other times, it will mean questioning an assumption, reminding him of something he said mattered to him or encouraging him to have a conversation he's been avoiding.

Guided by Dan.

My role is to help us create and sustain that kind of space. I'll bring my experience as your coach, my attention and my willingness to challenge you. Each of you will bring perspectives and experiences that add to what we can discover together.

06 Your invitation

Join us for the year.

If this reflects what you want from the year ahead, I'd love you to join us. We'll choose what matters, make time for it and build friendships with men who will encourage us—and question us when we hold back. My intention is that we finish the year having acted on things we care about, enjoyed experiences we're glad we made time for and come to know each other properly. Each of us will have a part in making that happen.

I'm looking forward to sharing the year with you.

Dan
