How To Stay Confident When Facing Your Wife’s Negative Feedback

Do you get easily triggered and lose your self confidence when facing your wife’s negative feedback? Does her opinion of you matter so much that she can question anything you’ve just done, no matter how trivial, and you get defensive?

In this episode I talk about why this happens and give you a new way to approach these situations so that you can stay calm, grounded and centered and know how to lead the relationship forward in a positive way.

In the video below I explain this in more detail including:

How we can get triggered by negative feedback and struggle to deal with our own insecure feelings of being criticized and unfairly judged.

Why grounding yourself in your own values, character and good intentions can really help you to avoid being triggered which will help you be calm and confident in your ability to understand your wife‘s emotions and her intentions behind her critical tone (read: it’s very rarely about you even if she says it is).

Understanding someone’s intentions can change everything about how you react to their words, tone, intonation etc which helps make working through issues much, much easier.

Instead of reacting negatively, learn how to approach the situation with curiosity and dig down to the intentions behind her tone and phrasing so that you can actually respond confidently to what she really needs from you.

I go into this in more detail in the video below. If you would like some 1-to-1 support on how to move forward with your current life situation, fill out my contact form and I’ll get in touch to arrange a free 60 minute coaching session with you.
